Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Exemption Applications

I hope you and your families are healthy and safe and adjusting to this new reality.  I am praying we can start to return to normal soon.

Typically, at this time of year many of you are visiting our office to apply for the Senior Freeze Exemption.  Due to the extension of the stay-at-home order by Governor Pritzker, the applications will not be mailed by the Supervisor of Assessments’ office or available in our office until after June 1st.

For assistance completing Senior Freeze Exemption applications, and other exemption applications, please call my office at (630)231-8900 after June 1st to make an appointment.

Those who come in to apply without first making an appointment may be given an appointment time and asked to come back.  As a reminder, the Freeze Application due date is October 1, 2020, so there is still plenty of time to complete the application.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we implement these new procedures to keep you safe, as well as our office staff.  Also, face masks are now required to be worn in public, and we strongly encourage visitors to our office to wear them.
